Ok, this is one of my incomplete, horrible cut off fan fics for zelda. Disclaimer: All or most of the characters mentioned in this story are copyrighted by Nintendo and/or Sony, so don't even think they won't notice if you steal them...also, this story is not, at the moment, meant to be sold for profit, so dun steal it from me either...All characters created by me or other fans like myself belong to their respective owners, and are not to be stolen either...In fact, don't steal anything, it's evil and can get you in jail, especially when you try to hold up a gun store with a knife...anyways, the point is that this whole thing is copyrighted...

Chapter 1:The Story

A long time ago, before anyone can remember, there was a man named Link. Link had many adventures, all of which ended well, and all of which had something to do with the princess of Hyrule, Zelda. Now, Link was the Hero of Time, or as we call him here, the Hero of the Realm of Hyrule. There are many such heros, all of different realms, who each have their own realm, which is given to them to protect from the forces of evil. Now, you might ask, what would happen if two of these heros met in the same realm? Well, nothing would happen to the heros themselves, but they would have to leave one of thier realms defenceless, open for all evil to enter at their own free will. Now, this wouldn't be too bad if the hero returned in a very short amount of time, but if the hero stays too long in another heros realm, the heros might become friends, and eventually mutate together, because another heros realm would eventually be destroyed by evil, taking the heros identity with it, therefore that hero would have knowhere to live, but he would still be a hero, and after a certain time in another heros realm, he has to leave, because only one hero can be in a realm at the same time. Now you are asking how it is even possible for another hero to enter that realm at all. That can be answered by this statement:"At random intervals, a door that none but the hero of the realm should go through, will open, letting this hero through to another realm."Simple right? Well, it won't seem so simple when I get to the real story.
 

Chapter 2:The beginning

One day while Link was in the temple of time, he spotted a door that he had never seen before, which fit perfectly into the wall. This door was in the back of the Master sword room, and It looked so much like the wall that he never would have noticed it had it not been slightly opened. From behind the door he could hear grunting, and what sounded like someone talking to himself, something sort of like "If I ever get out of here, I'll never go through a mysterious door ever again!"Well, Link was pretty surprised, so he hid on one side of the door, waiting to see who it was. Suddenly, the door slammed open, and out strode a man with blue eyes, yellow spiky hair, and a very large (and thick) sword strapped to his back. He immediately put a red stone back into a bag he was carrying, and, turning around, stared at Link in amazement.

"What kind of a person are you?"asked the stranger.
"A Hyrulian."answered Link in surprise at the question.
"Hyrulian? What the heck are you talking about man, are you insane or something?"asked the stranger.
Deciding to get off that subject, Link says,"I'm Link, who are you?"
"I'm Cloud, Cloud Strife, and I would like to know where the heck I am."said Cloud.
"Now you're the insane one. You are in the legendary temple of time, in Hyrule city."said Link.
"Hyrule you say, so you're from this city? well, in that case, you can take me to your governor, so I can sort things out."said Cloud.
"Governor? No, you're mistaken. We in Hyrule have a King!"said Link.
"A King eh? Well then, take me too this 'king' of yours."said Cloud.

Chapter 3:Evil returns

"Cloud? Cloud! Where are you Cloud?"yelled Tifa.
"Give it up,"Vincent said while polishing his gun,"He's not coming back."
Suddenly Yuffie appeared in the doorway behind them. "What going on, why is Tifa yelling?"
"Cloud went through that doorway, and he never came back!"said Tifa.
"I don't think anythings wrong, but just in case, why don't you go in after him?"said Yuffie.
"Ok, maybe I will!"
And with that the huge bronze doors closed again, trapping Cloud inside.
"Then again, maybe not."said Tifa.
Suddenly Sephiroth appeared behind them, and trapping them inside a magic barrier, went off to find the others.
Back in Hyrule...

"This man wishes to see the king!"said Link.
"Wait right here."said the guard.
As the guard walked off, Cloud suddenly felt an incredible pain in his chest, as if someone were ripping his heart out of his body.
"Whats wrong with you?"asked Link.
"Nothing, I'm fine!"said Cloud as he fought to recompose himself.
The the guard came back and gestured them into the king's audience chamber.
"What is your business here?"asked the king.
"I wish to know where I am, and where my home went."said Cloud.
"You are in the beautiful land of Hyrule, but where is it that your home was?"asked the king.
"My home was in, somewhere far from here, thats all I can tell you."said Cloud.
"Well then I'm afraid I am of no use to you. How did you get here?"asked the king.
"All I remember is going through a doorway, and when I got out of the tunnel, I was behind a very large stone door."said Cloud.
"Hmmm..., this tale is familiar to us, in fact, we heard it from Link's own great grandfather. We didn't beleive it at first, seeing as how it was found in his journal after his death, but now we are convinced that it is true."said the king.
"What happened to Link's great grandfather?"asked Cloud.
"No one knows that for sure. Some say he was murdered and dragged away, some say he was taken prisoner, the most common is that he just dissapeared, taken away by strange creatures, or by Ganon himself. We in the royal court believe the ancient one, whos tells of mysterious doors, which open at random, and hold the power to teleport certain people from one 'realm' to another."answered the king.
"So you're saying that this 'ancient one' knew about these doors all the time?"asked Cloud.
"Yes, but no one ever believed her, until now."said the king.

Chapter 4:The loss of a Realm

"Wait, you meen this 'ancient one' is a girl?"asked Cloud.
"Yes, but why does that matter?"asked the king.
"Always thought boys were smarter."muttered Cloud.
Suddenly, Cloud fell down in pain, clutching his chest. Link ran over to Cloud to see if he was ok.
"Are you hurt, whats wrong?"asked Link.
"I don't know, all of the sudden, I just felt a sharp pain in my chest, and then...Owwww!"said Cloud.
And with that the two of them started to mutate, and then they started to connect, until a mutated mix between Cloud and Link was all that was lying there on the floor.
"Ooo, what happened?"asked Cloud and Link in unison.
"Wait, how are we talking out of the same mouth, and where are you?"they asked.
"Wait, how are you moving my body?"they asked.
Suddenly they both realized what had happened.
"AAAAAAAAAAh! Quick, someone, bring us a mirror!"they ordered.
But everyone was too afraid to respond, except for the king, who then said,"They asked for a mirroR, and I expect they should not have to wait much longer!"
At that, a servant ran to get a mirror.
"Don't worry boys, we were afraid this was going to happen, but we have prepared. We should be able to get you back in no time at all."said the king, as the servant came back with the mirror.
There, standing where 2 people used to be, was one, wearing a green tunic with a left shoulder pad, and having two swords sheathed on his back. He did not wear a green hood, but instead had long spiky hair. He had a belt with three bags tied to it, along with a slingshot. Also on his back was a bow with a quiver of arrows. On the left side of his belt (the bags and slingshot were on the right) he had what appeared to be medallions, and a mechansim with a hook at one end. And, on a bondolier he wore, he had 4 masks, and on his back he had a hammer, a shield with a reflective surface, and a huge sword in a sheath that hung straight down.

Chapter 5:Evil unites

"What the heck happened to me?!?"they asked in unison.
"Would you stop talking at the same time as me?"again, in unison.
"Man thats creepy"Again, in unison.
"Now don't worry, I said we prepared, so come with me and I'll show you how we prepared."said the king.
The king led them down the steps of the castle, deep into the earth, when suddenly, in front of them, the torch shone on two gigantic bronze doors. As The Link/Cloud mutation stared at the incredible height, wondering how they would get it open, the king pushed through a hidden door in one of the bigger doors. Inside, there was a gigantic machine with three glass chambers, and lots of chains floating everywhere.
"Now, just step into that middle chamber, and you'll be back to normal in no time at all."said the king.
So the heros stepped into the chamber, and a stone wall surrounded them, as they could feel the machine coming to life. Suddenly, the machine stopped, leaving no sounds in the room, for the stone wall was too thick for sound to pass through.
"Hello? Hello, what happened?"asked the heros.
"Well, guess they can't hear us. Oh well."they said, as they broke out of the cylinder and the stone wall.
When they got out, they saw all the kings men lying dead on the floor, as a man in black clothes carrying a samurai sword at least as big as himself. As Cloud pulled out the buster sword, and Link pulled out the master sword, the figure turned, pulling out his own sword.
"It can't be, Sephiroth!!!How did you get into this realm?"asked Cloud, without Link talking, for once.
"I found, in the process of capturing your friends, the doorway that you had gone through. Following it, I came to a somewhat sinister looking castle hovering over a pool of lava. As I explored the castle, defeating all sorts of strange creatures along the way, I came to a great chamber, occupied by a huge beast on a dark throne. The beast asked who I was, and then told me that he was Ganon, dark lord of this realm, and that he needed my help to take over this land that you call Hyrule. I agreed to help, and he said that my first mission was to stop you two from seperating, so that you could not be strong or as fast as if you were individual people. Now, I am here, and if you wish to fight, I cannot argue, but be forewarned, I will not lose."said Sephiroth as he launched at the heros, intending to stab his sword straight through their heart. They easily blocked with their two swords, and managed to push him back. Then they sheaved the swords, and pulled out the large sword hanging straight down, revealing the biggorons sword.
"This should even up the fight a little bit"they said, swinging the sword at Sephiroths head.
Sephiroth blocked, and, rolling, struck a blow to the heros leg. As they started to go down, they pulled out a red stone, and, holding it up, all of the knights of the round table appeared in the room, ready to attack Sephiroth.
"I see you are more skilled than when I last fought you Cloud, but the battle isn't over."said Sephiroth as he threw down a deku nut and dissapeared.
They put away the red stone and Link alone asked"How did those knights appear?"
"I am their master, and can summon them at will with this red stone."Cloud answered.
"Well, what next?"asked Link.
"I say we go see the ancient one, maybe she can help us."answered Cloud

Chapter 6:The Mysterious Zora

As the heros were walking, they suddenly remembered something. They didn't know where this ancient one was. So they decided to go the the Zoras to find out. As they came to Zora's Domain, they wondered how they were gonna get through the waterfall, when they saw a Zora in a black cape jump into the Domain. "What was that?"asked cloud.
"That was a zora, but I didn't recognize him."answered Link.
The heros, thinking they could get through without an ocarina(Link had lost his in the transformation)jumped through the waterfall, only to be sweapt down towards the riverbed, barely holding on to the ledge. "Oh great, this is just perfect"said Cloud.
Suddenly, their hand was lifted up of the edge, and the pulled themselves up, standing face to face with the mysterious Zora.
"Who are you?"asked Link, but the stranger had already jumped towards the kings throne room.
"That was wierd."said Link.
But before Cloud could agree with him, they heard a scream coming from outside. Looking back, they saw a lone zora, sword in hand, standing with a sword through him, trying to fight off an army of Stalfos and pull out the sword at the same time. Jumping into the battle, the heros pulled out the two smaller swords, protecting the zora and fending off the stalfos army.
"We can't hold them off forever!"yelled Cloud, slashing through a nearby stalfos.
Just as the stalfos army began to give way, 6 Master Stalfos joined the fight, waving their swords at the heros.
"They're just too strong!"yelled Link.
Then a stalfos cut the heros in the arm, causing them to drop their sword, and, still slashing, started to bring them down, when a zora war cry could be heard over the fighting, and the zora in the black cape appeared, weilding a sword and a shield. slashing at the stalfos, he single handedly held them off, driving them back until the masters sounded the retreat. Joining the heros as they chugged a red potion, they looked over at the zora guard, lying wounded, carrying his sword in one hand, and a stalfos' sword in the other.
"Here, drink this poton."said Link, giving him a red bottle.
As the guard drank, Cloud asked him what happened.
"I was returning from my shift at the water temple, when I saw this army of stalfos emerging from the water all around me, so I ran, but they caught up with me. I saw, during the battle, what looked like a Deku scrub, but was much taller, and had a sword. As I looked on, he turned into a sort of Goron, and walked away. Then the stalfos blocked my vision of him, and that's when you came in."said the guard.
"It seems we owe you our life zora, may we ask what your name is?"Link asked the zora in the black cape, but he was already gone.

Chapter 7:Enigma

"Well, whoever he was, he's gone now. Nothing to do but talk to king zora about the ancient one"said Link.
When they got to the kings throne room, they heard shouting, and saw the mysterious zora standing there, fending off two wolfos. When he defeated them, the king said "I thank you warrior, I owe my life to you. May I know your name?"
"You can call me Enigma, the first and only Zora Bounty Hunter, and the destroyer of all evil. Now, I wish to know the name of my ally, who carries the great Master Sword"he said without turning around.
"WE, are Link and Cloud, morphed together by the magic of the realms. Why are you here, Enigma?"they asked in unison.
"Morphed together? Hmmm..., that is very strange indeed. To answer your question, I was hired to protect the king from these wolfos."said Enigma.
"But, how did you know they would be attacking?"Link asked.
"That is for you to find out, brave hero of time. In the meantime, I wish to join your party, to find the ancient one, and have some of my own questions answered."said Engima.
"King, we wish to know where the ancient one dwells."said Cloud.
"The acnient one lives in the crater of the inferno, awaiting your arrival as we speak. Be carfeul, brave heros, and may you have your questions answered."said the king.

Elsewhere...
Master, they have joined forces with the hunter, and are even now on their way to death mountain.
Excellent, our spy has done well, and shall be rewarded.
But Master, the hunter, he fought off our stalfos, he is too strong for us!
He will be dealt with accordingly. As for you, get back out there and continue your job.
"Yes Master."and with that, the king of Hyrule exited Ganon's throne room, slipping on the Deku Scrub mask he had found in Link's secret abode on Death Mountain.

Back in the throne room...
"The fool, he has no idea what will happen to him and the rest of this realm when we take it over."A new voice said.
Let him dream, Sephiroth, then we will take him by surprise, when he least expects it. Now go, make sure everything goes according to plan. The heros must not be allowed to find the ancient one.

Chapter 8:The arrival of Shadyn, the Ultimate Warrior

As Link/Cloud were walking(from here on known as he)he encountered a group of stalfos lying in a bush, waiting for someone. As he approached, they jumped out and started to attack, wacking him with their arms.
"You stupid little..."he said as he charged up Din's fire, and attacked, destroying them all.
"Stupid little things, just a minor annoyance aren't they."said Enigma.
"Ya, just annoyances, put in this land to be destroyed."Link/Cloud said.
So the heros continued on, unaware of the warrior trailing them from behind. Suddenly, they heard swords hitting eachother behind them, and, looking back, saw what appeared to be the Feirce Deity, but with a strange sword, who was fighting a goron.
"Who are these people?"asked Enigma.
"Well, one of them looks like the Feirce Deity, but that couldn't be possible, for only I know have the mask, and it is in my secret abode."said Link/Cloud.
"Who is the goron then?"asked Enigma.
"That looks like my mask goron, but that mask was also in my abode."said Link/Cloud.
As the two looked on, the Feirce Deity creature held out his sword, pulled out one of the sage medallions, and then shot water out of his sword.
"Never seen anything like that before."said Link/Cloud.
As soon as the water hit the goron, he dissapeared, and in his place stood a deku scrub, who quickly found a flower and hopped in, popping out a few seconds later to fly away.
"I welcome you, victor. May I know your name?"asked Link/Cloud.
"My name is Shadyn, a combination between myself and the Feirce Deity at present, and I am the Ultimate Warrior."said Shadyn."May I ask what your names are?"
"My name is Enigma, the zora."said Enigma.
"Our names are Link and Cloud, also currently combined."said Link/Cloud.
"Did you say Link, as in the hero of time?"asked Shadyn.
"Yes, I am Link. Why is that so surprising?"asked Link/Cloud.
"Because, I am...your descendant."said Shadyn.
"But, how could that be possible, when I'm still living, and have no living descendants, and never have?"asked Link/Cloud.
"I was warped here, and when I looked around, I saw you being trailed by that goron thing, and thought that it might have evil intentions. So I decided to intervene. I think my guess was right."said Shadyn.

At the evil castle...
So, the one called Shadyn has come. Good, now nothing will remain of Link's blood when I ambush him, and kill him and anyone with him.

Chapter 9:The Ancient One

So, the heros finally made it to death mountain crater, and lokking around, found an entrance that Link had never seen before, so they walked inside, and found themselves in a big chamber full of fountains, and in the middle sat an old lady, probably in her 80's, sitting down cross-legged, meditating.
"Come, sit down, I have been expecting you."she said.
"How would you know we were coming?"asked Enigma.
"I have seen it, as I have seen the mutating of the ones called Link and Cloud, and how they are to seperate."said the old lady.
"You know how to seperate us?"asked Link/Cloud.
"Yes I do, young Clink."said the old lady.
"Clink. That's the best you can do? How about something completely non related to our names, I was thinking Darius."said Link/Cloud.
"Darius isn't any better. try a nickname, like Final Doom, or something."said Enigma.
"How about, plain and simple Doom."said Shadyn.
"Doom. Well, it's something, but that might not give the best impression."said Enigma.
"Dengar, gotta go with Dengar then."said Shadyn.
"Enough! We have decided to be known as (Sry, no name comes to mind that will sound good. Help me, send in names!!!)
"Well, _____, now that you have chosend your name, I must warn you of the amush set up for you in Kakariko village, and must also tell you that you must travel to the Gerudos, and retreive the mystical gem from them, in order to seperate."

chapter 10:Ambush at Kakariko

And so, our heros (and I'm not gonna edit, just pretend that they haven't chosen a name yet) walked down death mountain trail, all the while dreading the ambush that was to come.
As they entered Kakariko, they all started to pull their sword out, when they saw that everything in the village was normal. So, thinking that the ancient one was wrong, they continued on through Kakariko, when suddenly, all of the people turned into stalfos, re-dead, or the rare master stalfos. They all attacked, and the warriors were bombarded with monsters, as a beetle in an army of fire ants. suddenly, flames burst out of Shadyn's sword, and the monsters around them burst into flames, while the ones farther away retreated in fear of the light. Behind them, a group of three master stalfos that had been on the outside of the burning, had survived the fire and were running at them with swords raised. Enigma quickly pulled out a bomb and threw it at them. It exploded, and the remains of the stalfos dissapeared. The rest of the army was soon wiped out by the quick blows of Enigma, the double blades of Cloud/Link (who will be named soon, I promise), and the powerful blows of Shadyn.

"Well, with that finished, let's go to Gerudo Valley!"said Enigma.
"Good idea."said Cloud/Link.

And so the heros went on their new quest to find the mystical gem the ancient one said was needed for them to seperate.

Meanwhile, back at you know where...
So, they have defeated the ambush, and our on their way to the Gerudos as we speak. Thats excellent news. You must go and stop them, by yourself, for none of my warriors can beat them. If you fail, it's your head, so be careful.
"As you wish, Ganon"the king of hyrule said as he exited.
How are our plans coming along Sephiroth?
"The invulnerable master stalfos is nearly finished, we just need to perfect his shadow side, and he'll be ready for battle."said Sephiroth.
Excellent, they will never know what hit them.
